If Sidney Ponson keeps pitching this well, the New York Yankees might be able to get by without injured starter Joba Chamberlain. Ponson delivered a much-needed strong outing in his return to Texas, Jason Giambi homered, and Mariano Rivera showed no signs of an aching back in saving New York's 5-3 win over the Rangers on Wednesday night.
